Ministries

Fr Bogdan is available for anointing whenever needed, whether before or after any Mass or by appointment. He will visit people in their home, aged care facility and local hospitals.

Our parishioner Peter Brown, who works for Catholic Care in the role of Pastoral Care Practitioner at Gosford Hospital, is also available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays if you or a loved one need pastoral support while in hospital.

How our Ministries help the Sick:

• St Vincent De Paul - Helping those less fortunate than ourselves in our community

• Communion to the Sick - Taking Communion to those who cannot come to Mass

• Pastoral Ministry - Phoning the sick and housebound

At Holy Cross Parish, we have a dedicated Youth Minister and a wider team who manage and facilitate the Life Teen Edge program.

Life Teen is a Eucharistic-centred movement within the Roman Catholic Church that leads teenagers into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. It’s an opportunity for our youth to grow in their faith through dynamic lessons, fellowship, and worship at our ‘Into Life’ and ‘Life Nights’. This is a vital step in supporting our young people and strengthening our parish community here at Holy Cross.

How you can help: 

• We are currently seeking dedicated Core Team members, Parent Liaisons, and anyone keen to support this ministry through prayer, logistics and supper.

Our parish Catechists teach at five state primary schools and one state high school.

We are always seeking new volunteers if you would like to join our team who teach the messages of Christ in our state schools.

In the Holy Cross Parish School Hall, we host a community dinner on the second Tuesday of each month. Starting from 6pm, we offer food, drink, hospitality and much needed comfort to the lonely or suffering within our community.

On the first Sunday of each month, we hold a Morning Tea in the Narthex of Holy Spirit Church. Come along after the 9am Sunday Mass for a cup of tea or coffee, and some great conversation.
