Congratulations to our Confirmation Children

Last Sunday Bishop Anthony Randazzo conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on 36 candidates of our Holy Cross Parish. Bishop Anthony congratulated the children on their diligent preparation, and in his homily had some very insightful words for the children and their families. It was a beautiful occasion, we were very proud of all of our Confirmation candidates.

Following the celebration Bishop Anthony joined the children in sharing their Confirmation cake. We wish to thank the Sacramental Team who have guided these young people over the past weeks and months; to our musicians Katie McGilvray and Eric Hew; everyone who contributed to making Holy Spirit Church look wonderful on our Parish Feast Day, particularly Robyn; our senior server Gerard McGilvray; our junior servers Grace and Claudia Bell, and Loren for the beautiful Confirmation Certificates and Confirmation cake.

May we all pause to reflect upon the gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit upon each of us, freely given as Bishop Anthony says, and also reflect upon our responsibility to use these gifts to enrich the lives of all those who cross our paths, our families, our Holy Cross community, and those to whom we are not yet known.
