Get ready for a deep dive into the Bible as we work through an enlightening study guide, Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible. The group will meet each Sunday at 6pm for 8 weeks. One of the greatest joys of the Ignite Conference is witnessing hundreds of people across generations gathered in faith as one vibrant Church.

Our volunteer Marjorie has kindly counted all of the items that were knitted or donated in June as part of our challenge to support Vinnies. Our parish, with a challenge to make 60 beanies, ended up making 91! The challenge must be 100 next year. There were also 24 scarves, children’s jumpers, baby booties, rugs and much more. On Friday, 26th May, the College of Consultors will meet to elect a Diocesan Administrator who will oversee the day-to-day running of the Diocese until a new Bishop is appointed.

On Sunday, the Church celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, known more commonly as Corpus Christi (Latin for Body of Christ). Our Pastoral works form an important part of our mission as a faithful community in Christ, accompanying families and those in need, and introducing our children in public schools to the goodness, truth and beauty of our faith.

Our RCIA program this year will begin on Wednesday 22 July at 7:00pm in the Presbytery meeting room.

In the Narthex this weekend there will be prayer candles available for new mothers, for new children, and for those who have recently lost their mothers. We would like these parishioners to take a candle in remembering that God is with us, and to offer thanksgiving for mothers and motherhood.
