Holy Spirit Church Lift Service

Unfortunately our Lift Service is out of order and deemed unsafe for use. You will recall numerous incidences where parishioners have been stranded in the Lift and we have had to call Emergency Services to have them released.

We are responsible for your safety and as such we have no alternative but to close the Lift for now as simply it does not work. We are addressing immediate repairs together with an upgrade and or even a complete replacement. Whatever we do will be expensive.

In the meantime, pending a resolution, we encourage those who use the Lift on weekends to park in the school grounds and walk through the passage way to the Church. This could be an easier way to gain access to the Church for you. Unfortunately, weekday Mass goers will have to use the stairs or ramp.

We will be discussing with the School as to how we may dedicate or mark out specific parking places close to the passage way with the view to minimise the walking distance to the Church.

Additionally, and for safety reasons, we ask that the St Mary MacKillop round about area be not used for drop off and pick up. Except of course for the Parish Bus. We acknowledge the difficulties that some of you will experience and we appreciate your understanding of this serious problem. Please be patient as we work towards a resolution.
